After using the ultra flexible PU hose from Gardiner for the last 6 months, we are very pleased to review this all season pole hose for water fed pole systems and here is a honest review of the Gardiner product. Pure water hose is an important part of your water fed pole system. Jarvis Clean review, honest and reliable.

Gardiner all season pole hose (what they say...)

Gardiner products are good, simple products that are reliable for water fed pole window cleaners. This is what Gardiner said about the “ultra” green flexible PU pole hose:

The price for this pole hose starts at £30 plus VAT for 10m. We brought the 20m length hose. Total £40 plus VAT. The PVC hose is cheaper at around £10 plus VAT, question is, is it worth the extra money?

Gardiner PU pole hose review

This flexible pole hose is very good and has been formulated to the standard that we expect from Gardiner. The only thing we would say that is a negative about this hose is that the hose has some discolouration at the brush end of the hose. The end of the hose that is in the sun the most but Gardiner have said that it is UV resistant. Will that make the hose more brittle? Will the discolouration affect the flexibility? We hope not, no signs of that happening yet! But it is a concern.

Gardiner said that this hose will resist kinking and looping... (define the word resists?) it does still kink and loop around itself however it performs better than your standard pole PVC hose. This PU hose has a “memory” for when you roll it up, so it is easier to handle. The hose is much stronger than the PVC hose and at high temperatures it keeps its shape well. Preventing it from slipping out of connectors.

Gardiner PU pole hose - Overall

Overall we are happy with the PU pole hose. It is an upgrade from the cheaper PVC. But both options are there from Gardiner. It’s your choice which pole hose you will buy and according to your budget. Thank you for reading this short review.
