Boots ? What Boots Do You Wear For Work?

Window cleaners know that you need a good solid boot to help you through the winter. Tom at Cleanright is new to the game and has written a review of DrMartens Brace Safety Boots

Let’s Talk About Boots ?

Let's talk boots!........ I used to wear a pair of standard @vans canvass shoes... However these offered zero water resistance and no durability.

So I picked up a pair of @drmartensofficial steel toe boots, specifically "DR MARTENS BRACE SAFETY BOOTS BLACK, SIZE 11" at the Screwfix fair a few months ago..... As far as comfort goes these are amazing, Due to the soles being the same material as the classic doc soles, they are bouncy, supportive and really comfortable to walk in.
They are not advertised as water resistance but I have not found any issues regarding my feet getting wet but I can't imagine they are waterproof like Wellington boots, so keep that in mind.

Due to the tred depth of the bottom of the sole being so deep they have a tendancy to hold on to dirt quite well, so banging the shoes together at the end of the day is a ritual I have got used to ?(I have a pic of them compared to the depth of a broken in Dr martens 1460 sole to show the difference in depth)
Anyways those are my thoughts and I would love to know what boots everyone else uses... Lemme know below ?????? #windowcleaner #drmartens #drmartensstyle #windowwashing #windowcleaningresource

Why Do You Need a Healthy Website?

Good website for your cleaning comapny

website health check
Here are some reasons why having a website is a must for any business. We will examine three in this blog and in future blogs we will discuss how you can improve your own website on a low budget.

Growth

To be a Window Cleaner and to be successful in our window cleaning industry, you do not have to have a website. Many window cleaners have been established for decades and have built up a fine reputation. To be honest all you really need is a bucket, squeegee, applicator and some microfibre clothes and some water and a bit of soap and your away. For example the Window Cleaner who taught me had been cleaning in Richmond for over 40 years, he did not have a website but was successful.
However to start a window cleaning business now you do need a healthy website. According to Yell, 80% of people will look for a service online rather then a paper directory. If you want to grow your window cleaning business you need an online presence. There are lots of free companies online that will get you started. That is what we did at Jarviswindowcleaner. We started with a free website on Weebly and we are still with Weebly today.

Professionalism

Your website is the front door to your window cleaning business. Just like a shop front will explain what the customer is to expect when they enter the shop. Your website will explain, who you are, why the customer can trust your company and what services you provide. You could be the best window cleaner in the world, but if no customers can find your business then you will not get any work, right? Online advertising done professionally will help you get noticed. Of course recommendations are also a great way to get new customers and that will grow too with your website.

Modernisation

Keep up to date! Can you remember when you first heard about the WFP system? That will not work, you thought. Now you have the WFP system and you can not believe we used to climb ladders all day. It is the same with the modern world we live in, you need to keep up to date and have a healthy website site.
Do a health check on your website that will help you understand what you need to work on, next blog we will look at ways you can easily improve the health of your website.
